Southeastern Flower Show at the GWCC
The Southeastern Flower Show, is the premier gardening and horticultural event in the Southeast, is Feb. 7 - 11 in the Georgia World Congress Center Building C. Since 1988, the Show has promoted conservation and awareness of the natural environment through education, horticultural excellence and artistic expression. In addition to juried competition in landscape, floral design and horticulture, the Show features a marketplace of 95+ vendors, dramatic landscaped gardens, internationally recognized speakers, floral and cooking demonstrations, educational activities for children of all ages and more.  Proceeds from the show enable The Legacy Garden, an annual outreach program which provides the gift of a therapeutic garden to an organization within the Atlanta community. www.flowershow.org

2007 World of Wheels at the GWCC
World of Wheels is a sanctioned event by the International Show Car Association (ISCA) and exhibitors' vehicles are assigned categories and are professionally judged based on ISCA rules. Cash prizes are awarded for winners in each category. The event is Feb. 9 - 11 in Building A and includes celebrity appearances, a variety of vendors, sponsor exhibits and feature vehicles. www.autorama.com/casi/atlanta.htm

Georgia Tech vs. UCONN Men’s Basketball Game at the Georgia Dome
Join us as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets face off with the University of Connecticut Huskies on Feb. 11. This non-conference charity basketball game will be played to benefit Scottish Rite and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. www.gadome.com

Cheersport Nationals at the GWCC
Cheersport's first Nationals took place in 1997 in a small Georgia high school gym. It has continued to grow each year and since 2003 Nationals have been held in the Georgia World Congress Center. The GWCC is literally the only convention center on the East Coast big enough to host Nationals. For the 2007 Nationals, Cheersport anticipates using four arenas for the cheerleading floors plus another arena for the dance floor, for a total of almost 1 million square feet in Building B and C from Feb. 17 – 18! www.cheersport.net

Atlanta International Motorcycle Show at the GWCC
This show is for everyone from Feb. 23 – 25 in Building B. There's so much for enthusiasts, curiosity-seekers and families to see and experience. Children can come, see the hottest new bikes and climb all over them. Potential motorcycle buyers can sit on and compare various bikes from different companies and get questions answered. Amp’d Mobile Supercross at the Georgia Dome
Spend Feb. 24 watching some of the best riders in the world including James Stewart, Chad Reed and Ricky Carmichael soar above the crowd. SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament at the Georgia Dome
The 2007 Southeastern Conference Men's Basketball Tournament will be held in a familiar setting as the Georgia Dome again plays host to this event March 8 - 11. The Georgia Dome with basketball seating configuration of 26,000, serves as the site of the 12-team tournament for the seventh time in 10 years and the ninth time overall in league history. www.secsports.com

AJC International Auto Show at the GWCC
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution International Auto Show will celebrate its 25th Anniversary when it returns to the Georgia World Congress Center on March 10 – 18 in Building B.  The Auto Show is the largest automotive event for the Metro Atlanta dealers, featuring a wide variety of styles, including luxury vehicles, economy cars, sports cars, exotics, limited production cars, concepts, convertibles, vans, light trucks and 4-wheel drive vehicles.  Marvel's Spider-Man and Wolverine of the X-Men have been set for weekend appearances. The Ford Motor Company will be bringing in Atlanta Falcon football stars for appearances.  Chevrolet will also bring in NASCAR star Clint Boyer.  www.ajcautoshow.com

Atlanta Diabetes Expo at the GWCC
The Diabetes Expo is in Building C on March 10.  The Expo will feature product demonstrations, free health screenings, ask the Experts sessions, healthy cooking demonstrations, a youth zone filled with activities and many exciting workshops.  www.diabetes.org

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at Philips Arena
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey is re-imagining itself and the American circus Feb. 14 - 19. It promises high-speed action, cutting-edge technology and an interactive adventure that can only be defined as a Circus-Sized Spectacle!  For the first time ever, Ringling Bros. will introduce a fun-filled story line to the circus experience – taking audiences on a magical circus journey. www.philipsarena.com

Georgia Brain Train Day at the State Capitol
Do you believe Georgia’s legislators need to do more to support commuter rail? Come to Georgia Brain Train Day at the State Capitol on Feb. 14. The Brain Train is a proposed 72-mile Atlanta to Athens commuter rail that would link nine of Georgia’s great universities with centers of research, suburban residential areas and office campuses in Midtown and Downtown to provide an alternative to traditional transportation.  www.georgiabraintrain.com

Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Atlanta Civic Center

Design at Play at the Museum of Design Atlanta
This multi-media exhibit—featuring wide samples of print advertising and marketing materials, billboard executions, premium design, on-air spots, Websites and online games, each designed to support the network’s original animated programming—will spotlight the local talents of Cartoon Network’s renown team of designers, writers, animators, producers and graphic artists. Spanning three full galleries at MODA, this first-time partnership also will explore the process of creating an animated television program from doodles and 3-D models to styleguides and storyboards.  Futhermore, Design at Play will review the “holistic” approach to branding and promotion through multimedia platforms, explore product design and packaging for retail, and highlight creative examples of more traditional advertising.  www.museumofdesign.org

Louvre Atlanta
Louvre Atlanta is an unprecedented partnership between the High Museum of Art and the Musée du Louvre in Paris that will bring hundreds of works of art from the Louvre's collections to Atlanta over the next three years. Built around specific themes and periods, the High will present a series of long-term special presentations of art from the Louvre beginning October 2006 through 2009.  www.high.org

Turner First Thursday
On the first Thursday of every month, art lovers can view the arts, tour the historic districts of Downtown, and enjoy various discounts at Downtown restaurants. EarthLink Chosen to Build City-Wide Wireless Network
Atlanta will soon join the ranks of major municipalities across the country that have embraced wireless fidelity with the recent selection of EarthLink to build, own and operate a citywide wireless network.  EarthLink's system will enable multiple providers to offer their services to consumers. For small businesses, Atlanta's wireless network will provide an alternative for broadband connectivity, such as an affordable wireless T-1 solution. The City and EarthLink will also partner to provide discounted Internet access to qualifying residents. www.atlantaga.gov

Free Wi-Fi Now Available at Centennial Olympic Park
Free wireless Internet access is now available in and around the Visitor Center and FountainSide Café at Centennial Olympic Park. Visitors wishing to utilize this service need to have a laptop equipped with a wireless network card.  Accessing the network is then as simple as connecting to the "PARKWIFI" network and opening an Internet browser, no registration required. Centennial Olympic Park’s Visitor Center is home to the commemorative brick locators, public restrooms and friendly volunteers who can answer questions about the Park as well as the city of Atlanta. The Visitor Center is open daily; hours vary on holidays and by season. www.centennialpark.com.

Flexcar
Flexcar has partnered with Lanier Parking Systems to bring a new transportation alternative to Downtown and Midtown. Flexcar members save hundreds each month by paying to use a car for immediate needs, such as errands, rather than owning a car. 40 Flexcars – a fleet of low emission, fuel-efficient hybrid cars will be parked in reserved parking spaces throughout downtown and midtown Atlanta. Flexcars are available by online or telephone reservation; users pay an hourly fee that covers gas, insurance, maintenance, 24/7 emergency assistance and reserved parking at lots, decks and MARTA stations. Other cities with Flexcars include Washington, D.C., Seattle and San Francisco. Atlanta was selected because of its increasing growth rate. www.flexcar.com

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Atlanta Civic Center
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, is now at the Atlanta Civic Center. Visitors will be drawn back in time as they step into fully reconstructed replicas of Titanic’s first and third class rooms. More than 300 actual artifacts recovered from Titanic’s debris field will be on view, including a 3,000 pound piece of the ship's hull. www.atlantaciviccenter.com

A lasting legacy of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Centennial Olympic Park has become a performing-arts venue, community gathering-space and an anchor for downtown development. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority operates the 21-acre Park, as well as the Georgia Dome and Georgia World Congress Center. The three state-owned facilities are one of the largest combined sports, entertainment and convention center facilities in the world.
